Sweet Gum

Hubby had Adopt A Highway before dawn this morning. The kitties and I were in no hurry to get up. But I was busy doing odds and ends until time to get ready for this fundraiser; I did not get out to look for a blip. I finally put the two spare bedrooms back in order. Hubby got rid of our trash and recycling. He decided to clean his closet. We had a blast with the shoe polish he found; it was ancient! It took 1.5 hours to get to this event. I scanned the landscape for possible photo ops on the way with no luck. But this vibrant sweet gum met us in the parking lot. Their fall leaves are my favorites next to sugar maples. I won a door prize and the meal was amazing. Brooklyn’s team won 4-1 so we had a good day all around. Sure hope the same is true for you. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
