Final blossoms
The apple blossom is late around here. Only now are the trees in full beautiful bloom.
This morning I donned my cheese-making pinny and tackled halloumi. It is the first time I’ve used rennet. I don’t eat halloumi much, and even though it tasted better than commercially-made, I shan’t make it again. However it served its purpose and I am increasingly confident that I understand the steps required to produce reasonable cheese. The next experiment will include a culture.
Outdoors I’ve been sowing annual flowers and chasing the mower around the lawn, just finishing it as the rain started.
