In the woods

A mixed day today - it was nice and bright and sunny this morning so we decided to jump in the car and go to Scotney Castle . Wasted 20 minutes in a traffic jam on the Pembury Road as usual... WHEN are they going to sort out that section of the A21 ? Three lanes into one just doesn't go... and it's been like it for 30 years... Then drove through some lovely Kent countryside and stopped in The Bell at Ticehurst for a light lunch. Great place, will go back there again. Onwards to Scotney castle... which was heaving and the main car park was full. Hubby's knees weren't up to walking from the farthest reaches of the overfill car park so we left as soon as we arrived. Drove back via Staffhurst Wood to check progress of the bluebells... which I'm glad to say are now out in force. Had a very brief wander through the woods (hubby not really up to walking far) and then home. So a mixed day. Not much opportunity for photographing the bluebells today but I have plans for tomorrow...
