A Unique Gig

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Eldest Mini Princess and I had tickets to see Counting Crows tonight in the O2 academy.

The night started out well - we had a lovely time catching up over sushi and then headed to the venue in time to catch the support act. Counting Crows came on stage about 9 pm and were brilliant…until EMP felt sick. We were really close to the stage but the toilets were right by the doors of the venue and let’s just say that she didn’t quite make it there in time. Twice. Spectacularly. Thankfully she had cleared most of the crowd but there was a very shocked woman who was definitely going to have to ditch her shoes.

After a third projectile deposit (this time in the toilet), we went back to the hotel. Poor EMP looked like a ghost and I felt so sorry for her. We have no idea if it was the sushi (we both shared every dish) or if she had a bug. She still felt pretty lousy for the rest of the night but thankfully there wasn’t a 4th re-enactment of The Exorcist*!
