Final harvest

The final harvest of tomatoes

Feels bittersweet (signals the end of summer to me) but I’m glad to have a few big ones in there. They’re currently soaking in a marinade for later (and tomorrow too!)

Dug up all the remaining potatoes which were a mix of a traditional potato (Alfred or Albert something) and Rattes.

My tomato harvest is the worst ever this year and even the green ones I’ve harvested are very few in number this year, so no big batch of green tomatoes chutney. Ce la vie. At least I enjoyed a heat wave instead!

A lovely positive was finding some self-seeded parsley growing between paving slabs so I’m adding a bit of that to my tomatoes
