Leaf-strewn bike trail
Sunday October 16
We enjoyed a great morning at church, celebrating Pastor appreciation Sunday as well as being the first Sunday the choir was back singing. Usually we would start singing the fist or second Sunday in September, but this year with our smaller numbers, and several people (including us!) missing for various weeks, it’s taken a bit longer to get ready. The pastor appreciation part was nicely done, but a bit repetitive and long-winded, so it ended up being a long service. It was another beautiful sunny day, and a bit warmer, so we felt the bike trail was calling our name! We drove up to our favourite stretch, cycling north from Corwin for 13 miles return for me, and a bit extra for Roger as usual. The farmers were out in their combines, making the most of the dry sunny weather, cutting the corn. In places, as you can see in my thumbnail photo, you would hear the scrunch of leaves as you cycled over them, whilst in other, more open areas, the wind has blown any leaves away, and the trail was quite clear. This evening, Roger kindly prepared dinner for us, whilst I began to catch up on the ironing!
I’ve just posted three blips together - please scroll back to see the other two!
