Trucks galore

This red storage ottoman got a work-out today, as the boys used it for lots of different games.  Here you see Max, having just moved all the trucks and cars from where he had lined them up on the couch, arranging them on the ottoman.  Later Sam kept playing with the lid and trying to hide inside.  And Max drummed and danced while banging on the ottoman.

The boys were unhappy that they weren't allowed to go outside due to the smoke,  But several books were read, including two by me to Sam. I continue to be impressed by Max's language skills.  He actually can carry on a conversation, speaking in whole sentences and responding to the person listening when they speak.  It's delightful to listen to him. Sam seemed a bit low today, perhaps because he has a cold.
