Hello old friend

We rounded off a wonderful wedding weekend in London with a trip to the Conran shop. The flagship store in South Kensington was my favourite haunt in my 20s. At one point more recently, I doubted I'd ever step over a hallowed Conran threshold again. This is the Marylebone branch on Marylebone High Street, whose villagey feel reminded me of Hampstead 20-odd years ago. Needless to say, the Conran experience was as much a delight as all those years ago. Yes, you can find most of its delicious wares now on the interweb, but there's something magical about being there to soak up its atmosphere, selection and display.
