Better late than never …

Everything on today’s To Do list was successfully completed. (I have a former colleague whose daily to do list only ever had one item on it. They always felt a sense of achievement as they always completed it!).

On 8th August this engineer came to diagnose the fault with our dishwasher. He promised a successful repair within 48 hours. The part, sourced from Germany, post Brexit, finally arrived last week and the repair completed today. We have got so used to doing the dishes by hand that we almost wonder why we still have a fuel hungry dishwasher at all!

To round off a busy and successful day I visited the food store on my way home this afternoon to source the missing ingredients for my slow cooker evening meal.

Events in Westminster today were anything but slow. In fact they continued to be truly incredible. Is that toast I can smell burning?
