Thrush

These things never appear appear on the bird table and we don't see them all that often. But this one was foraging in the garden today. I'm not yet able to distinguish mistle thrushes from song thrushes in spite of have just looked at my bird book but if anyone out there knows which this is I'd be happy to hear. Most of the time I was watching the tea heat up a rather belligerent chaffinch was attacking any other birds that dared land on the table - especially the small siskins.
