Loggerhead Shrike
This is not black and white but 50 shades of grey surprisingly. Down the route in the Everglades these shrike were around after we had motored west and into the everglades with rain lashing the car windscreen. Luckily when we stopped the rain stopped too and I subjected Hubs unknowingly at the time to a 3 mile walk where we /I was on the trail for a honey something ... ( I talked to the birders there) This elusive little blue bird still eluded most and having walked a mile and half to get there in the heat (there was cloud cover) proved disappointing but it was good exercise - I keep saying that ....
I got pictures of a blue heron, great egret and merlin - possibly - all to be up loaded later .
