The theme for MonoMonday is A tree but not a forest. Thanks to V1K1 and AndrewNZ for hosting MM this month. 
It isn't easy to find a solitary tree where I walk, but I think I managed to isolate this one enough along the trail down Xwaaqw'um. An air quality advisory remains in effect for us. It's still very smoky but strangely it doesn't smell so strong today. 
Extra: looking across to Vancouver Island, barely visible through the smoky haze.
