Le Palais Ideal.

We closed the house for the winter and headed north stopping at the vet to do the pet passport thing. Stopped in Hauterives for a visit to this remarkable building. It was built by the local postman over 33 years starting in 1879. It is an amazingly wierd and intricate piece of work, one man's obsession. I've been many times over the years and always find something I've not noticed before. Well worth a visit. Stopped for the night somewhere in La France Profond.
