Home sweet home
This is our hall. Well was. The whole ceiling is down now and the verdict is that Mr C is def deaf. He says there is minimal noise from the dehumidifiers and it’s VERY NOISY in my opinion.
Jenny and I are home after a lovely relaxing 6 days in Gozo. I’m glad we came but I wouldn’t recommend it - we prefer walking holidays where there are peaceful tracks and minimal traffic - Italy or Spain. We found the people to be lovely and as English is one of the two languages spoken by everyone it was easy. The food was mostly delicious and the hotel rather tired but we had a balcony overlooking the harbour which saved me from claustrophobia - I don’t like large hotels with endless corridors requiring 2 lifts to get out. The weather was wonderful - a bit hot for walking but it was lovely to sit out in the evening without a coat or wrap.
The plane was late which meant the Edinburgh by-pass was at a crawl at 4.45. We got home at 7.30 so it’s been 13 hours since we left for the ferry to Malta. An early night. Mr C has got Tesco pepper crisps and a gin ready for me. It’s lovely to be home. He might have missed me.
