Tinto twixt trees
I do love being able to see Tinto from the the house, but it does mean that it also becomes a bit of a blip obsession. Felt like summer came back for a little bit today, so I nipped out for a walk at lunchtime and went round the cemetary. Another, slighlty different view from this angle too. The cemetry is well used and still has space, insteresting to see the changes from the older to newer headstones as you go further up the hill. Lots of repeated names too - lots of Meikles and Hamiltons which is perhaps unsurprising. Got me thinking about halloween and how the Mexicans really do it better with day of the dead, which just seems like a much better celebration. Also made me think about what a great film Coco is (if you haven't watch it do, if you make it to the end without crying then you possibly don't have a soul...)
Mum very kindly made tea for their last night with us, so I took the opportunity to get out on the newly serviced bike and blast round the village. Was a joy to be out and the bike feels so much better after some TLC. Currently just sorting my work stuff for tomorrow whilst mum and dad have a binge watch of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it's been nice to have them up for a few days.
