A cairn for Linda
My sassy friend Linda died at the start of the year and today a thanksgiving service was held for the lives of former patients of the MacMillan Service in West Sussex. I was so impressed by the sensitivity of the organisers and ministers. It was so beautifully choreographed. Choristers sang, poems were read and every one was welcomed whatever faith (or none), candles were lit and a cairn constructed. So thinking about my Tiny Tuesday blip I decided to re-construct a miniature cairn for Linda. I love the concept of a cairn - literally grounded and down to earth.
