Broch

Today was much drier than the previous day and the floodwaters had receded enough for us to escape. So, in the morning, we visited Boroughston Broch, a well preserved broch not far from where we are staying. Then after lunch my sister-in-law and I walked out to a possible chambered cairn at the south end of Shapinsay, called 'castle bloody'.
