Jeepney

There are loads of these Jeepney’s on the road in the Philippines.   They’re like a little minibus ferrying people around the Provences.  Well known for their art and modifications, payment is based on trust.  You pass your money up the crowd to the driver and the driver passes your change back down.

There was a bit of an uproar a few years back leading to strikes as the Filipino government were looking to invest in public transport meaning the jeepney’s may become obsolete but I’m glad they’re still on the roads.

There were some amazing ones on the road.

I got a cab, not a jeepney to the airport and today is a day of airports.  Arrived at airport just before noon but bag drop didn’t open until 2:30pm.

Found the lounge and grabbed some food/beers and await boarding tonight around 6:30pm local time for 9 hour flight to Doha.
Then get a 7 hour flight to Edinburgh which should get me in for around 7am tomorrow.

Then back to normality…….
