Afternoon by the Lake

Altamont House and Gardens across the county border in County Carlow, one of my favourite gardens. Ms. Corona North, whose home this was, did something very wise prior to her death. She left her gardens to the nation and tied it down in her will so that neither the local farmers nor the property developers could put their hands on the land. The result is that the property is open to all, admission is free and it's a wonderful place fro photography. I was experimenting today with my Canon, an extension bellows and two close up lenses, a 2 dioptre and a 4 dioptre held on with blu-tack. Fun!
