There's something very disturbing about realising the boat noodling about in the early morning mist is actually a police boat...here's hoping it was a training exercise...

In other news, my Germans this week have been tortured with the "apostrophe s" and all because Monika uttered the fateful phrase "the dog of my niece".  They complained at times that it was hard and illogical until I reminded them that English only has one word for "the", unlike pigging German.
