Cracking Up!
A walk along the river and the wetlands - the Canadian Geese made their usual fly over and splashdown.I'm amazed they never bump into each other! I was also amazed and saddened to see the chimney has developed a significantly greater crck. When I first saw it when I moved down here it was just a little crack at the top - now it has run halfway down and soon I think the whole half will fall if it is not demolished before then - I don't know if there are any paths that lead past it as it is on the opposite side of the river in Devon!
I also developed a few mental cracks after discovering the letter from the NHS which I presumed was about my appointment, was infact a letter informing me that on a random scan of records it appeared I had claimed an exemption on a prescription back in July! £100 penalty if I didn't provide evidence! Searching through my statements I couldn't find the transaction and realised I must have paid cash - damn! Then I remembered it was a young lad on his first day who had served me as there had been an issue with my medication not being available in liquid form, had a palaver getting it in tablet form and he was running backwards and forwards to consult with bhis seniors - he must have messed up! Phonecall to the relevant people and told I had to get the pharmacy to email them or send proof myself!
To check my statements proved difficult as my new phone would not allow me into my bank account! I had to use my old phone to get in! Whilst checking through my statements I discovered the insurance for my Apple Imac had been taken out 9 times in one day - not the amount I paid monthly either! I also found 2 other insurance payments that I had no idea what they were for! Took me a while to sort through my paperwork to find the relevant ones by which time it was too late to contact them! Oh what fun I will have tomorrow!
Finally to cap my day Blipfoto would not upload my photo! It's been doing this on and off and I finally worked out it was the size of my file - looking at individual photos some were 21mb and others less - no rhyme or reason to it that I could tell apart from over processing on some pictures - but I hadn't even done much to this one! Anyone able to tell me how to reduce photos in Lightroom? The only thing I could find was "limit size to X K" What the hell does K stand for when all my pictures had MB as file size?!!
Somedays I feel technology is a hindrance not an enhancement to ones life!
