Knit without the natter .

I’m knitting a hat for Freya , I had to change the pattern after the first few rows as the initial pattern required total concentration. I thought that the colours looked delicious , they remind me of the penny sweets I bought as a child , Fruit Salads - 4 for a penny !
This morning I made pumpkin soup in the slow cooker , only 1 pumpkin left now . While the soup was cooking I had a walk in the woods with Bramble. We live at the bottom of a hill . We took the road route up so that we could ascend quickly and get the blood flowing . The walk down through the woods was along paths carpeted with golden leaves , the dry weather displays autumn at its best.
The afternoon was spent messing about on the plot , more bulbs planted , more soil sieved.
As the intensity of daylight gets weaker I feel my anxiety growing , I wondered if it would be worth investing in a SAD lamp . It happens every year and yet always takes me by surprise. One year we spent Christmas in southern India , a fortnight of sunlight near the equator seemed to sort it for the rest of the season . A winter holiday in the sun might be a plan , seems a bit drastic though !
