‘Watch the birdie’


I didn’t intend to walk to Waterhead but by avoiding traffic lights on Kirkstone Road I missed my right turn.

I had to stay in this morning for a parcel* which was delivered by the always pleasant and smiling Imran from DPD. Then the decorator called to check on the work I asked him to do and take details of the paint required. Hopefully he’ll start next Wednesday.



* a new vacuum cleaner. The old one that malfunctioned last week had given 18 years of service and I decided to replace it. I remember buying it in late summer 2004 at House of Fraser, Carlisle.
