Delivery...

We're soon to have our bedroom revamped - it's very overdue as it was last revamped just before Son#3 was born and he's almost 30 years old, so it looks a little "tired"!

Rather than do most of it ourselves, as last time, we're getting a local company to do it for us but we decided that we would buy the sink for the vanity unit, by mail order, as it seemed the company couldn't be sure of getting the one we liked. They chose to send it on a pallet (they say there's less risk of damage that way, although I wonder if somehow it's just cheaper?) and it arrived this afternoon. It was initially promised yesterday (any time between 9am and 5pm) so we stayed in all day but to no avail: apparently they had 2 drivers phone in sick and then a truck broke down! At least today they were able to tell us that the delivery would be in the afternoon..."any time between 12 noon and 5pm" - so it finally came at 4.50. Anyway the driver who came was very nice and carried it as far as our doorstep as you can see.

After unwinding the miles of black plastic we were pleased to find the cardboard box underneath was undamaged, as is the sink inside it.
