Another Glorious Morning
Oakfields. The farm we walk by every morning - with my friends the (old, retired) Connemara ponies. And also a lot of much younger, much taller, fancy show type horses that are either owned by a young woman who rents the stables and fields and probably accepts boarders as well. The Connemara ponies belonged to the woman who owned the farm, who died a couple of years ago. One of her two daughters now owns it, but only lives there part time. She rents the space out to the horse person. The horse The Husband was talking to the other day is one of the fancy horses. The ponies are the only ones I give carrot bits to, for the most part. Except on rare occasion when a couple of the fancy horses happen to catch me with carrots still in my pockets...
