Blue

This is Blue, he just turned up about 6 years ago and stayed. We don't know where he came from, but here is obviously more to his liking than there!

Blue spends his time wandering between my neighbours' homes and my garden. He roosts on Richard the artist's roof, and hangs out with Mellors' hens during the day.

This evening I was invited to Richard the artist's for dinner and Blue was demanding to be fed too. He is quite wary of people and was reluctant to take food from Richard while I was there with my camera, so I had to hide behind the kitchen door for this shot!

For the less squeamish among you, we dined on Muntjac filet steak. Tender, sweet and absolutely delicious. Locally sourced and butchered by Richard then cooked to perfection by his partner. You can't get more traceable or less food miles than that.
