Outside the Pooh Factory
'Dad? What are you doing?'
'Taking a photograph, what else?'
'Dad, it smells strange...'
'You bet, I just stopped outside the Pooh Factory' (Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant)
Other photographs were taken today.
Even two posed family photos ('Please, please, pleeeeeease, just one photo, just stay still for 15 seconds and sit beside Mum, pleeeeeease' 'But Dad, it's bo-ring' 'Pleaaaaaaaase, just the one, believe me, you'll like it when you're older, something to remember your walks when you were kids' 'For when you're dead?' 'Yeah, Mimi, exactly, but let's not let a cloud of sentimentality obscure this rare bright afternoon...')
It was a rare family walk, with all five of us, when no tears were shed, no threats were issued, no counter-attacks were launched to avenge preemptive strikes.
Occasions like these have to be immortalised.
But then I picked Mimi and Finn's little faces outside the faeces factory.
