Fruit for lunch

I spent a few minutes in a Morrison's Supermarket car park watching this cheeky rook dodging traffic to purloin pieces of spilled fruit on the entrance road into the car park. The crow family are among the smartest birds and I remember watching film of a Japanese crow eating nuts crushed by cars but only on the pedestrian crossing where traffic stopped periodically to let people cross. I was reminded of that film today by this canny corvid!
