Malcolm in the Middle

Had a visitor today at work - here we are at the bottom of the grand stairs, in the middle of Sandbrook House.

I first met Malcolm on twitter as we talked initially of cricket and then lower league football, him Bury, me Rochdale. 

Eventually there was a local derby and this virtual acquaintance become real. A burger and a pint before a 1-1 draw one dark tuesday night at Gigg Lane.

Since then, there have been a few beers here and there, a test match and a one dayer, some more football, and when he was still will writing we looked after his business IT.

A man of many stories, not all of them from his time as England scorer, and later the scorer on Test Match Special - but those are the best ones.

Viv Richards never worked out the name of Al Pacino's dog in the Godfather.

Why?

Because after 5 days of being picked up and dropped off for test match special by Malc, he owned up that Pacino didn't have one...
