I've just bought 'Derek Jarman's Garden' - which contains some lovely chatty, poetic writing by the man himself about the creation of this beautiful place, and also some gorgeous garden photography. It's kind of inspiring that Jarman spent his last years making and tending a garden - one of his final creative acts.

I've often meant to make the journey to Dungeness - a strange and remote spot, just to see Prospect Cottage, and whatever remains of the garden. Perhaps I'll get around to it this year.
