You Know You're missing out on Something
Monday was our last day and Tooli was determined that we would have fun.
We started by chilling in front of the TV and enjoying some Crown and some of Mum's Tea. (apparently Tea does not taste the same in Doha, unless Mum makes it).
Then it was into an Uber, for a trip to another Mall to play an escape game. I got uncontrollably over excited as we rose up over a hill and I looked at the white sand all around and squealed "We're in the desert"
"No", Tooli said... "it's a building site"
I'm not sure why i was so excited at the prospect of the desert, but Tooli comforted me by saying it probably was the desert at one point. And anywaysl, it's something else to come back and see.
The escape room was a riot.
We didn't escape.
We started locked in jail cells (Me in One, Si and Tooli in the other), which in itself was a little off-putting. It took us over 20 minutes to break out of the cells. By which time i was exhausted searching a 4 x 4 ft square looking for clues. I had already put my hand in the toilet which was traumatic enough.
the chap told us, when he came to release us, that if we had figured out the cell escape in 5 minutes instead of twenty we would have been free :) Pft. It was great fun.
Then in was back into the Uber, and off to another part of town, to the Snooker Club. I did wonder about whether Tooli would be permitted. But there were no questions asked. In the VIP section - the men playing in there were all wearing full Arab garb.
The men in the public area were arriving with their own poles, (see my use of technical terms) and gloves. We had the table for the hour - and himself and Tooli played hard, and Himself won 5 - 0.
Tooli both loves and hates that her Dad does not just let her win. - it makes the winning when it does happen so much more sweeter. See below some more of her winnering games.

After this... it was onward to a Mall. We had a couple of bits to pick up before we left - a new Shower head for Tooli, some bulbs, some chocolate. And of course, also food.
Tonight was Milk Shake overload - because of the excess cream and milk we settled for a small dinner. Chips, Loaded Chips, Chicken Strips and Brussell Sprouts.
Great times.
When We arrived home, it got a bit teary.
I am incapable of packing, and pointing things out at the same time when I am leaving without sobbing. Every action had to have a sobbing break.
Saying goodbye is exhausting.
But the sadness was broken by a visit from R who popped in to see me and Himself before we left. she had very luckily been away for a weekend in Dubai. What a life these gals live.
