Road Trip day 5...the Air

Woke up to dense fog on the coast.  Had a walk on the beach where it was raining lightly…hard to focus on anything.  This is from the creek looking at our cabin and the ocean out there. Do love those Sitka spruce silhouettes. No leaping salmon. 
…We did have a brief thought of staying for one more day as the air in Seattle was very unhealthy —reportedly the worst in the world yesterday!   But rain is expected tomorrow (Friday) and we stuck with our plan and drove home mid day so the traffic was easy. Watched it change from foggy to smoky.   On the bottom is the air in Seattle…I usually love coming on this view of the city ..you can see there is blue sky above the bad layer.    Did not go out again.  Our loop around the Olympic Peninsula couldn’t have been better ..we did think briefly about going east of the mountains instead…so this was a good choice…away from the wildfires.   and now it’s good to be home
