BCAM 2022 Day 18
Well here I am at my first day of work at The Salvation Army (TSA). Carrying on my family legacy :).
My boss (Kate … Minister/Officer of the Church along with her husband David) has been absolutely amazing. She’s from Oxford and studied at Oxford Brookes as did her whole family! She reckons she probably saw Jon when he studied there …. Small world!
Anyway, she did an amazing job of orientating me. Met LOTS of people today, saw all of the premises and the Op Shop that is attached to this Church.
Then admin stuff, some of which is quite complex, but I’m sure I’ll get my head around it.
I loved it all, and am feeling quite pumped. I know this is the right job for me, and I know I can be a real help to Kate as she’s just inundated with admin work. So thankful and grateful for a job that I hope I can use all my skills set in!
Trying not to feel to overwhelmed, I’m not expected to know it all on the first day or the first week … so that’s great!
This bottle brush species flower was in the flower beds outside the Church :). How convenient for my pink blips this month!
May I ask you to kindly click on this link that provides free mammograms to those who need it. Thank you!
