Liberation Pop

Yesterday I wrote that it was the day we remember the WW2 dead, today we celebrate the liberation of the second world war.

This day all about celebrating freedom and one of the way it's done is with Nationwide pop concerts in 11 mayor towns in Holland many featuring the same acts, by flying them in army helicopters from one stage to the other.

This was the performance of Ilse de Lange in Haarlem. Professional cameras were forbidden and the area was gated, so when entering the army security guards refused me to take my camera in, but in the end I convinced them and this shot is living proof ;-)

For those who remember... I shot Ilse recently on another occasion too.
