Not the greatest of shots

Off to Lochmaddy for my fourth covid jab. It seemed to be rude not to take in the coast of North Uist and half way along there was this young Ring-necked Duck - the one on the left. Not the most impressive of birds but it has flown across the Atlantic so deserves some respect.
Looking at the other duck I do wonder if there is a bit of hybrioisation gonig on here between Ring-necked Duck and Tufted Duck. We will probably never know.
