Past, Present, Future
Kitties got us up early. Sure hope they will be okay while we are in WV. There will be no one here to feed them at 5:30 am and noon. I am satisfied with all I have accomplished today. We are all ready for the weekend/next week. I filled all the bird feeders; many fall and winter songbirds have arrived. Over the years, they have dropped dogwood seeds around the gazebo. We now have five trees that bloom each spring. Looking at them today, I noticed they represent our past (seed heads), present (leaves) and future (new buds that will open in spring). They provide shade in the gazebo without cutting off our view. The house is tidy and all our luggage, etc are ready to go in the SUV. Hubby had a routine cardiology appointment this morning. His doc was pleased with all his vitals. He got rid of our trash and recycling, picked up breakfast food for the weekend, etc. For the next three days, we will be on the road: tomorrow in Ann Arundel Co. to watch Brooklyn play soccer and then back to Calvert Co for Mass and an Octoberfest with our Germany Pilgrims. Sunday, we go to Delaware to watch Parker play in his first lacrosse tournament for the season. We will get home for a few hours sleep and then head to the WV farm. Life is good! May you have a rewarding weekend but stay safe. Thanks for the visit. Not sure if our four-legged visitor returned or not. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is God's gift, that's why we call it the present.” - Joan Rivers
