Wet feet

Poured on and off most of the day. We got out in a break at midday. Boscombe, as usual nowadays. We bought Mr B a £4.99 Sports T in Lidl (usually excellent, nice texture, and good quality). Sadly I accidentally bought XL, not L.

He really liked it, and it would’ve sold out quickly. So despite the torrential rain later drove to another Lidl up the road to exchange for an ‘L’. Parked and found there was no obvious way to get in or out of the store as the entire frontage of the car park was flooded.

Frustrated shoppers hunted for a dry spot in vain. I walked to the low perimeter wall at the end and clambered over, and got to the drier path into Lidl. Others feet were soaked to access their cars - with water ankle deep (see blip, the kerb is under water) .

Luckily found the right size T. The heavens opened again. Luckily I’d parked away from the flooded area.

Saw later reports, the Central Gardens were flooded (always happens in torrential rain), they end up looking like the London Serpentine. Other areas flooded too.
