Eternal Flame
This was a present from my brother and sister in law last year. It is Cercis Canadensis and was plant of the year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
We planted it around this time last year. The early months of the year I was not sure it had survived as it looked like a dead stick. Fortunately, it sprouted and began producing these leaves which it has increasingly done throughout the year.
The leaves start off red and then turn orange then yellow. I hope that next year in spring we will get to see the pink blossom it can produce.
