Isla del Sol

We jumped on a rocky 2 hour boat journey to Isla del Sol early in the morning! The island was beautiful, with bright blue sky and pretty hills. There were inca ruins and ancient terraced farming. I felt pretty sick from altitude sickness so we had a very slow motion walk around the northern end of the island before getting our boat back to Copacabana.

There was a huge carnival going on in Copacabana, with people parading through the streets in huge costumes followed by lots of bands (all playing the same tune over and over again!). the party went on through the night, with drunken Bolivians dancing along the streets!
