Fun with the Sun Lover

The longboat* races at Fishguard harbour provided a day out for families from all around the Welsh coast today. The sun stayed away but the Sun Lover by local artist John Cleal was a distraction for bored kids until they were instructed to leave it alone.
(First time I've seen this sculpture getting any attention at all as a matter of fact.)

*Longboats are 4-person coxed seagoing rowboats based on ancient Celtic curraghs. Men's and women's teams were competing today. I've put a couple of pictures in my blipfolio here and here so anyone who's interested can see what they're like.
