Steeking

I went to the Loop knitting shop in Islington for a steeking workshop. A traditional Scottish technique where you cut into your knitting to make sleeves, cardigans, and even (if you’re a little crazy) buttonholes. Six of us were well taught by an expert knitter and bravely cut our knitted swatches into bits. It was fun to chat with other knitters, and I now feel I can finally finish my pullover project.
