At the turn of the tide.
Dreich turned to grey. We walked along the narrow ribbon of the West Sands beach remaining at the height of today’s tide. The relentlessness of the sea never fails to amaze me, surf offshore, gentle waves today and slow persistent encroachment. Nearly got wet feet once or twice. My wife walked ahead, as I was dawdling behind taking photos of the front of the tide. We were on our own by this point, as often happens. We like it like that.
Younger son’s rugby team won this afternoon. Older son, wife, rugby dog and chums were there; support is important.
