Jakarta to Kepa

Jakarta airport is heaving at 3;30am. We hardly get through on time.

By 2 in the afternoon, 2 flights later and an all too brief stop in West Timor, we are speeding on moto-taxis (ojeks) along a winding road beside the sea under post-rain blue sky and dripping emerald banana leaves on the island of Alor, as far East as we could make it. It's beautiful.

Kepa, a small island and dive resort run by a French family. Bungalows, communal meals, and the best poking around in rock pools we've seen. They over spill with wierdnesses. Sunset meanderings. Another world.
