Hiding

We had a slow start to the morning sitting chatting with Sue until we heard Soul get the ladders out.

A palm at the front of the garden was becoming problematic so Soul decided it needed to come down. It took all four of us to pull on ropes and help guide the huge thing down without damaging anything around it. Then it was a trip to the dump to get rid of the debris. Shiv decided it was safer to stay in the undergrowth in another part of the garden, smart girl.

Bookclub for me and watching a squash competition for Arnie took up the afternoon which was complete with a massive thunderstorm that brought torrential rain. Thankfully Jill has a great covered patio so we could still be outside but hearing each other was a bit of a challenge at times.

And just like that, Saturday was over.
