Lol Surprise!, Aylesford

Went along with my brother yesterday to meet a couple of his friends for mini pub crawl along Rochester Old High Street. The stand out was a lovely pub called the Nag's Head which was really atmospheric -  me and my brother will definitely visit again soon (sadly it's up for sale but I really hope it remains as a pub). Our last stop was a micro brewery that opened at the weird time of 4.30 in the afternoon. By that stage I was flagging but still decided on a last drink before heading home - a half pint of rhubarb cider! I think this may well be the sweetest alcoholic drink I have ever tasted - it was like liquid boiled sweets, served at room temperature. This was a mistake and try as I might I could only consume about two mouthfuls before giving up!
Woke this morning with a wee bit of a hangover but managed to get out for a short run under a glowering, and lightning filled, sky. Luckily, we got back before the downpours started. Then it was the usual weekly shop, a swift pint afterwards and then just relaxing and a bit of telly catch up. There was a brief window of sunshine so that's when we popped out on another local photography safari to try and capture an image or two. The result is Lol Surprise!
