Flame Shield

After a busy week I spent some time in my favourite local wood. Still too dry for many fungi, particularly on the forest floor, but there were a few fruiting bodies on dead wood and standing trees, including this small group of Flame Shield, a rather local species of very decayed, damp wood - in this case on a long-dead Ash. Always good to see...
