Thank you so much for the hearts, stars and lovely comments for yesterday’s National Rejoin March. It’s amazing how many people here fully understand what a disaster it all is.

Outside the National Gallery yesterday there was a sizeable protest drawing attention to the dangers and abuses people in Iran have suffered since the regime began, especially now with the current uprisings and the detention and murders of young women. The power of this left me speechless, the cruelty and misogyny of the ruling clerics was laid bare in the multiple lists of victims’ names, there are so many people. In retrospect I’m not sure any women were protesting alongside the men. That also made me think.

Meanwhile I’ve just heard the repugnant Johnson has ‘graciously’ withdrawn from the Tory leadership contest. FFS he even lies about that!
