Hallelujah Flats

My friend Jenny and I left this morning for 2 nights and 3 days tramping in Arthur's Pass National Park.

It's many years since I've been up the Andrew's and over the Casey Saddle. That time we accidentally did 50kms in one day.

Yes, you read that correctly. I don't recommend it.

We've had perfect weather and unusually little wind. Tonight we're in the "new" Casey hut (new in 2020 after the previous hut burnt down.

Remarkably on a long weekend it's not full.
