Lionised
I did my covid test first thing this morning and it was negative. Phew! I was actually beginning to feel slightly better so I decided to go for a quick run - I'd heard it can help when you've got a head cold. Not a great idea - I only managed a very slow trot around our estate and when I got back I felt really tired and sweaty.
However, later in the day I did feel brighter and it was a lovely autumnal afternoon so I headed to the nearby Cobtree Manor Park for a short walk to revive my spirits. I'd taken some, it must be said, pretty average shots of the park's trees and was returning to my car when I thought a saw a lion out of the corner of my eye. At first I assumed it might just be a still slightly high temperature making me see things that weren't there but as I got closer I realised it was actually a large stone lion almost hidden in the tree line.
So here he is in his full glory looking majestic as the sun crept through the shadows. As he is such a handsome fellow I have also included a shot of him in profile.
