Gardens at Chion-in

Another day another temple and shrine. Today I was meant to go to Nara with my dad and sister but I was exhausted so I sent them off, had a lie-in and did some laundry before setting off here, only ten minute walk from our accomodation, a traditional merchants house. The extra picture is a tiny torii gate around the back of the Shinto shrine to the goddess of marriage, which is in the middle of a graveyard with warning signs to stay away from monkeys. We didn't see them, but the Torii gate was cute.
